Beavers racked up a school record 480 rushing yards and had over 650 total offensive yards while racking up 8 Touchdowns. They scored midway through the 1st on an 86 yard TD run by Gena Adams and never looked back.

#4 Alexandria 69, Bemidji 20
The Jacks scored first and in fact had a 20-13 lead in the second quarter. But then the vaunted Alexandria offense led by Quarterback Jaran Roste scored 56 unanswered points, scoring 10 touchdowns on the day.

LUMBERJACK BOYS SOCCER

As expected, the Jacks-Sartell game was a battle through the entire day. Although they outshot Sartell 13-5 they were able to get just 1 goal on a penalty kick. Dylan Kovach got a nice 40 yard kick over the defense to Leo Spry who had a breakaway. He was taken down from behind and awarded a penalty kick, which he connected on and the Jacks get a huge Section 8A victory. Adam Laakso was 5 of 5 for his 5th shutout of the season.
The Jacks are now 12-1 and will have their home finale Monday night at Chet Anderson Stadium, hosting East Grand Forks at 7:15. You’ll hear it on the Lumberjack Radio Network (KBUN-AM1450/fm94.9 and kbunsportsradio.com).
BEAVER WOMENS HOCKEY
Friday…Bemidji State 2, Syracuse 1
The Orange scored first on a first period power play, but The Beavers got a goal in each of the second and third periods. Emily Berglund scored the tying goal and Riley Fawcett got the game winner in the third. Shots were 19-12 in favor of the Beavers with Britni Mowat going 11 of 12 in goal.
Saturday…Bemidji State 3, Syracuse 0
The Beavers scored early in the second to take a 1-0 lead and then scored a pair of goals in a 9 second span midway through the third. Emily Berglund, Lauren Miller and Alexis Joyce had the goals. Joyce also had an assist. Bailey Wright and Kiki Radke each had a pair of assists. Shots were 30-28 in favor of the Beavers and Erin Deters was 28 of 28 for the shutout.
The Beavers are 2-0-0 and have their home opener this weekend hosting #2 Minnesota in a pair of 3:07 games at Sanford Center.
The Jacks went 3-1 at the Hopkins Invitational to win the Consolation title. After losing an opening round match to Orono 25-22, 25-20…the Jacks won three in a row. They beat New Prague 16-25, 25-17, 15-8; downed Mankato West 25-23, 13-25, 15-9; and capped the day with a 25-18, 25-20 win over Rogers.
Addie Colligan at 79 assists on the day, and Lexi Wade was the team leader in kills in 3 of the 4 matches.
The Lumberjacks are now 6-9 and will be back in action Tuesday when they host Thief River Falls at the BHS Fieldhouse at 7:15. You’ll hear it on the Lumberjack Radio Network (KBUN-FM 104.5 and kbunsportsradio.com). Coverage begins at 7pm.
LUMBERJACK BOYS & GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The Bemidji Boys and Girls were at the 13 team Willmar Invitational Saturday. The Boys took 5th out of 13, and the girls were 7th. Isaac Berg was just out of the top ten with an 11th place finish, while Sadie Hamrin led the girls in 16th place.
The Jacks will be back in action Thursday at the Perham Invitational at 4pm.

Shots were 11-5 in favor of the Beavers but they just couldn’t get one in goal. The Golden Bears got the only goal of the game in the first half.
Beavers are now 7-3-0 and 5-2 in the NSIC. They’ll be back in action Friday when they host Northern State at 3pm. Sunday they’ll be at MN-Moorhead.
