The Jacks got it going early on a Linaes Whiting goal 27 seconds in. Silas Hess got behind the back line and put a shot on. Whiting got the rebound and put it home. Silas Hess got a goal himself on a feed from Luke Hess to go up 2-0 and Silas again set up Whiting 2 minutes later to go up 3-0. The Jacks would get many other chances to score but wouldn’t get another one. Adam Laakso only need one save to earn the shutout.
The Lumberjack Boys are 11-2-2 and will wrap up the season hosting 12-1 West Ottertail United at Chet Anderson Stadium next Monday night at 7pm. The Jacks are currently ranked #9 in the QRF Rankings, while West Ottertail is #17. The game could be very important for Section Seeding purposes.
The Beavers are 8-0-1 and have still allowed just 1 goal this year. Anna Fobbe is a big reson why and earned NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week honors after shutting out #13 MN-Mankato in a 0-0 double overtime tie Sunday. She is 4-0-1 on the year with 3 shutouts and has a 0.21 goals against average with a .944 save percentage. She has combined with Catherine Arneson to have a team goals against average of 0.11, 3rd best in the nation.
The Beavers will be back in action Friday in Aberdeen, SD to battle Northern State at 3pm. They’ll be back home Sunday hosting MN-Moorhead at 1pm.

17-2 Bemidji wraps up the regular season today at Choice Fitness in Grand Forks where they’ll face Crookston. That is the site for the upcoming Section 8AA North tourney, which begins Thursday with the team tournament. Individual tournament will follow Friday and Saturday.
The Beavers are 3-12 and are 0-7 in the NSIC. They’ll be back at it tonight hosting St. Cloud State in the BSU Gym at 6pm.
