The Spuds beat the Jacks 25-15, 25-18, 25-21. The Jacks showed flashes but just couldn’t maintain the consistency. Addie Colligan had 21 assists to lead the jacks and Jenna Lewis had 10 digs.
The Jacks fall to 10-10 on the year. They’ll host the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks Thursday night at 7:15 at the BHS Fieldhouse.
LUMBERJACK BOYS SOCCER
The Jacks finished the regular season 12-2-2 and 8-0 in conference play, winning the Lakes to Prairie Conference, and securing the #1 seed from the North. The Jacks will open the playoffs Thursday at 6:15 hosting Pelican Rapids at Chet Anderson Stadium. The Girls will likely be the #2 seed from the north and will have a home game as well Thursday, set for 8pm at the Chet. You’ll hear both on the LJRN beginning with Lumberjacks Live at 6pm on KBUN-FM 104.5 and kbunsportsradio.com.
BEAVER WOMENS SOCCER
Bemidji State is 10-0-1 on the year, and share the NSIC lead at 8-0-1. On top of that, they have allowed only 2 goals on the year. The Coaches have taken notice, and for the 1st time in program history, the Beavers are ranked in the nation’s top 25, sitting at #22. One other NSIC team is in the top 25…Mankato at #13. They are the team the Beavers are tied with…and the team they tied 0-0. The Beavers are also ranked #7 in the Massey Ratings and 12th in the Hero Sports D2 Poll. The Beavers are also #6 in the Regional Rankings.
They’ll be home this weekend for Alumni Weekend and Senior Day, facing Wayne State and Augustana on Saturday and Sunday.
