Bryce Golden got a 3-2 win at 120; Jon Solum got a FF win at 138; Nate Golden earned a 3-2 win at 145; at 152, Colton Hinrichs won via injury default; Chance Hinrichs won 3-1 at 160; Pete Moen got a 5-2 win at 195; Hunter Schoenborn pinned his opponent at 220; and Codie Desrosier earned a pin at 285.

Bemidji 38, Kenyon-Wanamingo 29
Seth Newby pinned his opponent at 113; Joe Hudson got a pin at 126; Jon Solum earned a 15-4 Major Decision at 138; Alan Wuori got a pin at 160; Chance Hinrichs got a 13-3 Major Decision at 170; Pete Moen pinned his opponent at 195; and a 285, Kaleb Beam pinned his opponent.

At 113, Seth Newby earned a 10-2 major decision; Joe Hudson got a pin at 132; Colton HInrichs got a 33 second pin at 152; Alan Wuori earned a 32 second pin at 160; Nick Mutchler had a 30 second pin at 170; Nic Geiger got a forfeit win at 182; Pete Moen got a forfeit win at 195; Hunter Schoenborn got a forfeit at 220; and Codie Desrosier got a pin at 285.

Darren Roth earned a pin at 132, while Jon Solum and Chance Hinrichs got decisions.

#2A Frazee 34, Bemidji 21
Nate Golden, Chance Hinrichs and Pete Moen all won by Major Decision. Seth Newby, Jon Solum and Hunter Schoenborn all got pins.

#10AA Litchfield 38, Bemidji 32
Hunter Schoenborn and Jon Solum had pins. Seth Newby and Colton Hinrichs won by major decision and Nate Golden and Chance Hinrichs won by decision. Nic Geiger won by forfeit.

The Jacks took 4th in the tournament, while Perham claimed the title. Bemidji will host BGMR Friday.

Bemidji 63, St. Paul Johnson 60
The Jacks were down by 12 with 10 minutes to play on the road Friday night, but rallied to outscore the Governors by 15 in the final 10 minutes to earn the win. The Jacks were 22 of 30 from the free throw line and that proved to be key. Spencer Konecne had another strong game with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 blocks. Kade Peterson had 13 points.

That puts the Jacks at 6-3 on the year with another big one tomorrow night. Bemidji will be in Moorhead to battle the Spuds. You’ll hear it on the LJRN beginning with Lumberjacks Live on 7:15 on KBUN-FM 104.5 and kbunsportsradio.com

Bemidji 7, Sartell-St. Stephen 0
Matt Fitzgerald got his 5th shut out of the year going 19 of 19 in goal, while the Jacks scored 7 goals on 32 shots. Ryan Pogue scored the opening goal, while Hunter Olson had an unassisted shorthanded goal and an unassisted 4 on 4 goal. He also had an assist. Josh Baker had a goal and an assist and Tate Hammit had one of each. Andrew Dondelinger also had a goal and an assist. Joe Leitner also scored and Zach Justice had 2 assists.

Bemidji is 6-8 on the year and will be back in action tomorrow night in Crookston. Coverage begins at 7:15pm on the LJRN (KBUN SportsRadio AM1450).

Alexandria 7, Bemidji 0
After a scoreless 1st period, the Cardinals scored 3 in the 2nd and 4 in the 3rd.

The Jacks fell to 3-15 and will be back in action hosting International Falls at 7pm

Cloquet 73, Bemidji 55
It was a 1 point game at halftime but the Jacks were outscored by 19 in the 2nd half. Kennedy Mills had 12 points to lead the way.

The Jacks are 5-8 and will be back at it Tuesday night at 7:15 in Sauk Rapids.

Bemidji competed at the nation’s largest high school Nordic ski meet Saturday at Mesabi East. 50 teams were there, and the Lumberjack boys took 15th. Individually, Soren Dybing was 9th in Freestyle. Sadie Hamrin finished 13th in Freestyle. The skiers will be back on the trails tomorrow at the Detroit Lakes Invitational.

The Jacks finished 8th out of 11 teams at the Manley Invite in Fargo Saturday. Cameron Munter won the diving competition for the Jacks. Sam Hendricks took 4th in the 100 Back and 5th in the 200 Free.

The Jacks will host their annual 7 team Invitational on Friday at the BHS Pool.

Bemidji took 6th out of 10 at Princeton’s Clemenson Invitational Saturday. Tatum Offerdahl led the Jacks with a 15th place All Around showing.

The Jacks will be back in action Saturday at the Moorhead Invitational.

FRI…Bemidji State 3, Lake Superior State 0
Michael Bitzer was 21 of 21 enroute to his 20th career shutout. That put the Beavers current win streak at 5, and their unbeaten streak at 8. For Bitzer he adds to his BSU and WCHA shutout record. Bitzer’s 20 shutouts also ties former Lumberjack Joe Fallon for #2 alltime in NCAA hockey history. Fallon earned 20 shutouts in his years at Vermont. Michigan State’s Ryan Miller has the alltime record of 26. Dylan McCrory, Charlie Combs and Gerry Fitzgerald each scored goals and Adam Brady had 2 assists.

SAT…Bemidji State 6, Lake Superior State 3
The Beavers were down 2-1 after 1, but outscored Lake State 5-1 in the 2nd to win going away, outshooting them 34-18. Justin Baudry scored the opener for the Beavers, while Kyle Bauman had a pair of goals and an assist. TJ Roo, Zach Whitecloud and Charlie Combs also scored. Ethan Somoza and Gerry Fitzgerald had 2 assists each. That makes it 6 straight wins and 9 straight unbeaten for Bemidji State.

The Beavers are 11-6-5 on the year, and 8-4-4-2 in the WCHA, good for 30 points and 4th place. They’re just a point out of 2nd and will be back in action this weekend with their annual Home and Home set with #6 North Dakota. The Beavers will host Friday night at Sanford Center and will be at Englestad Arena Saturday night.

FRI…WOMEN…SCSU 83, Bemidji State 51
Sierra Senske had 9 points and 7 rebounds off the bench to lead the Beavers.

FRI…MEN…SCSU 77, Bemidji State 72
The Beavers had the lead after going on a 15-0 run, but the Huskies came back and ended the game on a 9-0 run to get the win. Sharif Black led the Beavers with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jai’Vionne Green had 19 points, 6 rebounds. Logan Bader had 13 points and Christian Pekarek had 12 points.

SAT…WOMEN…UMD 66, Bemidji State 61
Mikayla Larson had 18 points to lead the Beavers while Brooklyn Bachmann added 15. Sierra Senske pulled down 10 rebounds.

SAT…MEN…UMD 62, Bemidji State 57
Christian Pekarek led the Beavers with 16 points while Derek Thompson had 15 points.

The Bemidji State men fall to 6-9 and 3-7 in NSIC play, while the women are 4-9 overall and 3-6 in conference play. The two teams will be back on the road this weekend, playing at Sioux Falls Friday night and SW MN State on Saturday.
